Indistinguishable from a new item. Used extremely lightly with no visible wear.

• Zero scratches, scuffs, or marks on body
• Glass is absolutely pristine (no dust, fungus, or scratches)
• Sensor is perfectly clean
• Very low shutter count (usually under 5,000)

Shows normal signs of careful use. The most common condition for used gear.

• Minor cosmetic marks or light scuffs on edges
• Glass is clean (no fungus or scratches affecting image quality)
• Sensor is clean and fully functional
• Grips and rubber are fully intact
• Average shutter count for its age

Shows significant cosmetic wear from heavy use, but functions perfectly.

• Noticeable scratches, paint rub-off, or brassing
• Minor dust in lens (does not affect image quality)
• Rubber grips may show slight peeling or wear
• High shutter count, but still fully operational
• No structural damage or cracked glass

Cosmetic Evaluation

We check the body for dents, deep scratches, and paint wear. We look at the condition of grips, dials, and mounts.

Optical Inspection

Lenses and viewfinders are inspected under bright light for scratches, internal dust, haze, and fungus.

Sensor Check

We take test shots at high apertures against a solid background to check for dead pixels, stubborn dust, or sensor scratches.

Functional Testing

Autofocus speed, button responsiveness, memory card slots, flash sync, and shutter counts are all verified.
